The Pieterpad is the most famous hiking route across the Netherlands. The route runs from Pieterburen in Groningen to Sint-Pietersberg in Maastricht. Zuidlaren is a starting and finishing point of a stage of the Pieterpad. The route passes Playpark Sprookjeshof and Museum Molen de Wachter. Along the way, you pass through the lively centre of the old village.
