The Pieterpad is the most famous hiking route across the Netherlands. The route runs from Pieterburen in Groningen to Sint-Pietersberg in Maastricht. Zuidlaren is a starting and finishing point of a stage of the Pieterpad. The route passes Playpark Sprookjeshof and Museum Molen de Wachter. Along the way, you pass through the lively centre of the old village. Olle Stee's terrace is the perfect place to recover from the long walk with a refreshing drink or to regain strength for the rest of the walk with a hearty lunch!
